We talk to Turner Prize 2013-nominated artist and 'sort-of cartoonist', David Shrigley, about claiming Payback royalties and what he spent last year's royalty on.

Can you tell us a bit about your work?
I make sculpture, animation, photography and music but I’m best known as a sort-of cartoonist.

How long have you been claiming Payback royalties for?
Since the beginning.

What did you do with last year’s Payback royalty?
I spent it on pens.

What advice would you give to anyone signing up for Payback for the first time?
It’s pretty straightforward. You won’t regret doing it: they give you money!

Do you have any interesting projects coming up that we should know about?
Apart from the ones which have been well-publicised, I am also writing a script for a 30 minute live action film. Not sure if it will ever get made though.
