Are you eligible?

  • Are you a visual artist whose artwork is resold through galleries, auction houses or art dealers?
  • Does your work sell for €1000 or more?
  • Are you a UK national, or a national of a country in the European Economic Area (EEA)?

If you answered yes to all three questions, you may be entitled to resale royalties.

  3. 3. We collect these royalties on a quarterly basis

We ask art dealers, auctioneers and other art market professionals to send us details of their sales. If your work has been resold for €1,000 or more and provided all qualifying criteria are met, we will collect a royalty on your behalf.

  4. 4. You receive royalties

Once we receive a royalty payment, we will transfer the money owed to you within 30 days. As a not-for-profit organisation, we retain 15% of any royalty we collect on your behalf to cover our costs. We do not retain a share of any resale royalties collected from overseas.
