Event Series Announcement: Artist's Spaces

Artists' Spaces: What makes an artist's space?

How do the spaces where artists make work impact their creative practice and the wider artistic community?

DACS is delighted to launch Artist’s Spaces, a series of online conversations throughout November, exploring how the spaces where artists make work impact their creative practice and the wider artistic community.

An artist’s studio can be many things at once. As well as being a workspace it is also a place to experiment and explore ideas, a centre of creativity. They are also important hubs of community, offering artists a shared space to connect with their peers and those in their local communities.

During the pandemic, many artists were unable to access their studios, and with the imminent cost of living crisis, access to affordable space to make work has become even more challenging.

What does an artist’s studio in 2022 look like? And how does where we live and make work define the spaces we need?

Join us for a series of events exploring how these creative spaces impact artistic practices and collaborative thinking and what support is needed for this creative ecosystem to thrive?
