Over two days, the DACS Licensing team joined cultural organisations, artists and industry professionals from across the sector to highlight the value of copyright and the creative opportunities unlocked by licensing.
The Museums and Heritage Show, held at Olympia London on 13–14 May 2026, brought together more than 3,400 professionals from museums, galleries and heritage visitor attractions for two days of talks, masterclasses, networking and exhibitions focused on the future of the sector.
Sharing expertise on copyright and licensing
One of the highlights for DACS was Senior Account Executive Amberley Jamieson’s mini masterclass on copyright essentials and using images with confidence. She delivered a practical introduction for museum and heritage teams who regularly share and reuse visual content, covering what can be done with permission, when a licence is required, and how to approach everyday scenarios including social media, exhibition marketing, website reuse, learning materials and internal presentations.
Licensing inspiration on show
At the DACS stand, we showcased a range of licensing projects that demonstrated the breadth of collaborations we have supported between artists and clients. From visual campaigns to inventive partnerships, these examples illustrated the creative possibilities that image licensing can unlock.

Networking and building industry relationships
Networking at the conference gave the DACS Licensing team valuable opportunities to strengthen existing relationships and build new connections across the cultural and creative sectors. Face-to-face conversations helped underline the benefits of ethical licensing and responsible rights management for museums, galleries and other organisations, while reinforcing how these practices protect artists’ interests and create revenue and creative opportunities for institutions across the sector.
