Merchandise and retail licensing projects
We've worked with a variety of merchandise and retail brands to showcase visual artists’ work - from in-store displays and packaging, to advertising campaigns and product collaborations. Our licensing team ensures artists’ rights are respected and protected, while giving merchandisers and retailers clear, straightforward agreements that outline how the artwork can be used in stores, products, and promotions.
Luxury consumer goods - Blithfield and artist Peggy Angus
The Blithfield collection draws inspiration from Angus’s handblocked designs, faithfully reproduced in a range of colours.
For almost 20 years, we’ve worked with Blithfield to licence work by Peggy Angus for their collection of luxury wallpapers and cushion covers.
DACS set up a licensing agreement between Blithfield and artist Peggy Angus.
Commemorative merchandise - Royal Mail and Julian Opie
For the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Royal Mail licensed Julian Opie’s Diver (2011) to include in a series of celebratory stamps.
The series of stamps became available for the UK public, and visitors to the UK, to use on letters, postcards and packages.
DACS set up a licensing agreement between Royal Mail and artist Julian Opie.
Fine art prints - King & McGaw and Tom Hammick
DACS worked with King & McGaw on licensing an exclusive collection of prints in late 2023.
Each limited fine art giclée print is a reproduction of an original painting or woodcut print by artist Tom Hammick.
DACS set up a licensing agreement between King & McGaw and DACS member Tom Hammick.
