The future of collective licensing
As the ways we access and share visual art evolve, so too must the systems that protect and reward creators. Collective licensing remains a vital mechanism for ensuring artists are paid when their work is used across media from photocopying books to library lending.
The Smart Fund
To keep pace with digital change, DACS is advocating for the extension of strong copyright frameworks that protect the rights of artists, however their works may be created, when they are copied and stored on digital devices. We're campaigning for initiatives like The Smart Fund, which has the potential to generate up to £300 million annually for UK creators, without cost to the government or consumers.
