Collective licensing schemes
DACS distributes money to creators through three collective licensing royalty schemes: Payback, Dutch Public Lending Right and German Public Lending Right.
Payback
For artists whose work has appeared in UK books, magazines or been broadcast on TV.
Registration is free and simple. Create your DACS Payback account and submit your annual claim during the open claim window.
Dutch Public Lending Right
In partnership with our Dutch sister society, Pictoright, we distribute royalties for works published in UK books which have been translated into Dutch and published in the Netherlands.
German Public Lending Right
In partnership with our German sister society VG Bild-Kunst, we distribute royalties for work published and exhibited in Germany.
