The Arts Council Collection is one of the largest national loan collections of modern and contemporary British art. It was founded in 1946 to support artists in the UK through the purchase and display of their work, as well as to encourage the public’s appreciation of art.

Over 7,500 artworks are featured in the collection and include works by influential British artists such as Victor Pasmore, Gilbert & George and Sonia Boyce.

Managed by the Hayward Gallery on behalf of Arts Council England, it has no permanent gallery. However work from the collection is regularly exhibited at Longside Gallery at Yorkshire Sculpture Park.

DACS Images is delighted to partner with the Arts Council Collection to license their images on their behalf.
