Communications Manager

We are looking for someone creative and collaborative with a demonstrable track record of delivering effective communications across a range of channels.

About the role

As a Communications Manager you will be working as part of a small team supporting the reputational and commercial objectives of the organisation. We work closely with colleagues across the business to deliver communication and marketing plans that support our services. We also take an active role in planning and implementing activity to recruit new artist members.
As a Communications Manager you will take a leading role in our campaigning activity and planning and delivery of our curated programme of events. You will also act as an ambassador for the organisation, attending external events and developing our partner network.
It is an exciting time at DACS, as we begin to implement a new three-year strategy, so you will be busy. The role will be guided by clear objectives and deliverables, but there is room to think creatively, work independently and take on exciting responsibilities.

Salary: £30,000 - 35,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.

About you

You will be a creative and collaborative individual, who can see the big picture, while having great attention to detail. Written and verbal communication skills will be of the highest standard. You will be able to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to deliver activity that meets their objectives.
You will need to have a demonstrable track record of delivering effective communications activity across a range of channels. We also advise and implement visual communication materials, so a good eye for design is important. Core skills include:
  • Drafting compelling marketing, invitation and campaigning copy
  • Event planning and delivery
  • Developing design briefs for external suppliers
  • Independent project management skills
  • Working with junior team members to review and improve content and copy
  • Planning and delivering social media content
You should be able to work flexibly, manage your time effectively and be able to deliver multiple projects in parallel.
