Information about DACS cookies

The Website uses cookies to distinguish You from other users of the Website. This helps DACS to provide You with a good experience when You browse the Website and also allows DACS to improve the Website. By continuing to browse the Website, You are agreeing to DACS’ use of cookies.

A cookie is a small file of letters and numbers that DACS stores on Your browser or the hard drive of Your computer if You agree. Cookies contain information that is transferred to Your computer's hard drive.

With regard to each of Your visits to the Website DACS may automatically collect the following information:
  • technical information, including the Internet Protocol (IP) address used to connect Your computer to the Internet, Your login information, browser type and version, time-zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform;

Information DACS receives from other sources

DACS may receive information about You if You use any of the other websites DACS operates or services DACS provides. DACS is also working closely with third parties (including, for example, business partners, analytics providers and search information providers) and may receive information about You from them.

DACS does not automatically log personal data, nor does DACS link information automatically logged by other means with personal data about specific individuals.  DACS does not allow the sharing of aggregated anonymous analytics data with their analytics provider.

DACS uses the following cookies:
  • Strictly necessary cookies: These are cookies that are required for the operation of the Website. They include, for example, cookies that enable You to log into secure areas of the Website, register for an account and license images.
  • Analytical/performance cookies: These are cookies that allow DACS to recognise and count the number of visitors and to see how visitors move around the Website when they are using it. This helps DACS to improve the way the Website works, for example, by ensuring that users are finding what they are looking for easily.  DACS does not collect or store Your personal information alongside this analytical information, so it cannot be used to identify who You are.

A cookie cannot give DACS access to Your computer or any information about You, other than the data You choose to share with DACS.  Cookies cannot be used to track Your browsing activity on any other websites.

Google Analytics

DACS uses Google Analytics to collect information about how people use the Website.  DACS does this to make sure the Website meets the needs of its users and to understand how to improve it.

Google Analytics shares information about what pages You visit, how long You are on the Website, how You found the Website and what You click on.  DACS does not collect or store Your personal information (e.g. name/address) alongside this information, so it cannot be used to identify who You are.  DACS does not allow Google to use or share our analytics data. You can find out more about Google Analytics on their website, which also provides global opt-out tools.

Ensuring our content management system works properly

We use a content management system called Kentico to run the DACS website. Kentico sets various cookies to do things like storing ratings, logged in states, language preferences and forms preferences.

We use little of Kentico’s advanced functionality. We do not associate any of the Kentico cookies with your personal data.

A full list of cookies used by the CMS are available on the Kentico website.

Please note that third parties (including, for example, advertising networks and providers of external services like web traffic analysis services) may also use cookies, over which DACS has no control. You may be unable to access or use all aspects of the Website unless You accept such third party cookies.
