The Kowalsky Gallery at DACS

Maggie Gets Her Hands Dirty The Kowalsky Gallery at DACS opened in autumn 2006 and is already creating a buzz within the artistic community thanks to a successful programme of exhibitions and events. The Gallery provides a platform for showcasing work by artists who use our services as well as developing business for DACS members and promoting the services provided by DACS to visual creators and their beneficiaries.

Politics Pays Back
4 October - 31 January 2008

Politics Pays Back features images of political life in the UK, and around the world, captured through the eyes of many of the artists and visual creators who benefit from DACS' popular Payback service.

Roger Bamber contributed this iconic photograph of Margaret Thatcher on her 1983 election campaign trail. Never shy of a photo opportunity, Maggie gets a little more than she bargains for in the form of horse manure!

Also on show, a sculptural installation by Tim Shaw; illustrations by Ralph Steadman, Steve Bell, Gerald Scarfe; sculptures by Christy Symington, Teresa Mills, and more.

The Kowalsky Gallery is open weekdays by appointment 10am - 5pm
